Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Traffic in Hudson peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Nick saved us when our tire blew and we were out-of-state. He is 24/7 and picked up our call on the holiday morning compared to other places we called. He searched and got us a tire that's hard to come by. Knowledgeable, efficient, reasonable pricing and communicative. Definitely your go to guy around the NY area. The memorial day was memorable as he saved us being a mobile tire service.

Very professional! I had to 2 wheel bolts that needed replaced since they would not come out when I went to change tire. Someone recommended Nick Kool's. Since I didn't want to chance driving, I called him. He explained what may be involved and an idea what cost may be. I found him to very honest and great communication. He had the car fixed within less than 2 hours. I highly recommend. Give him a call for your needs. Much better than sitting in shop waiting.
